Community Rhythms

The Choir is delighted to be able to support Community Rhythms, a charity which operates the community coffee shop at Adastral Square, Canford Heath which provides a central focus for community events. Events currently running there include an Alpha course, a ‘cooking on a budget’ course, and a Ukulele Club to name but a few items within their busy Events Diary. We will be performing at St Paul’s Church in Canford Heath on Saturday 8th November and tickets (priced £7.50)  are available from the Coffee House at Adastral Square, Canford Heath, or via the St. Paul’s...

Choristers-A-Caroling

Another busy December weekend for BMVC … We were delighted to be asked back to Westbourne on Saturday for an open air performance to mark the switch-on of their Christmas lights. We were soon surrounded by a very enthusiastic crowd whilst the weather remained kind and the shopping trolleys weaved their way around us! Today we performed for our friends at Kinson Community Centre for the third successive year. We were then invited to perform at the benediction for the recently re-opened Catholic Church of the Sacred Heart in the town centre. The church stonework had been thoroughly cleaned...

Camels by Candlelight

And … relax! BMVC has now completed a hectic schedule of 18 engagements and 30 rehearsals since September and takes a well deserved break over Christmas. Last Saturday evening saw the much anticipated concert at Sacred Heart, where we performed in front of a very welcoming and appreciative audience. The Choir had never performed at the venue before, which given its spectacular interior and acoustic is a travesty! Our guest soloist, Gaynor Morgan, gave us two magical performances which will remain with us for much time to come and we send our heartfelt thanks to her for supporting this...
