Priory left Spellbound

A packed Christchurch Priory, including the Mayors of Christchurch, Bournemouth and Wareham, was treated to a very special musical evening yesterday.priory

Joining us for this event, which was staged as part of this year’s fundraising activities for the Mayor of Bournemouth’s Charities, were the very fine St John Singers from Salisbury. We had the privilege of performing with them in Salisbury and they once again gave us an extremely polished performance. We are very grateful for them for coming to Christchurch to support the event.

Bournemouth Male Voice Choir at Christchurch PrioryIt was also another opportunity for our Learn2Sing recruits to perform publicly in what was their first full performance. They all did extremely well and continue to give so much to the choir in terms of their energy, enthusiasm and support.

The star of the show was, undoubtedly our solo performer, Minns Musician of the Year, Rosie Gill. This ten-year-old, who has only been playing the harp for 2 years, completely enraptured the 400 people present during her performances, during which you could have heard a pin drop. She provided us all with some simply magical moments and we wish her continued success which her marvellous talent.

The Priory is a stunning venue to perform within and we eagerly anticipate our next performance there next Spring, in aid of the Samaritans.
