Summer songs

Summer is almost here and means that Bournemouth’s Choir for Men is making preparations for this year’s Annual Concert. However, this year, the event comes with an added twist. Given the range and amount of talent we have within the group, we thought that this year we’d like to complement pieces from the full choir with some showcase performances from smaller groups singing music which is new to the choir’s repertoire. You might even be treated to some choristers revealing their talents for playing musical instruments! It promises to be a rich and varied evening of...

Community Rhythms

The Choir is delighted to be able to support Community Rhythms, a charity which operates the community coffee shop at Adastral Square, Canford Heath which provides a central focus for community events. Priory left Spellbound

A packed Christchurch Priory, including the Mayors of Christchurch, Bournemouth and Wareham, was treated to a very special musical evening yesterday. Joining us for this event, which was staged as part of this year’s fundraising activities for the Mayor of Bournemouth’s Charities, were the very fine St John Singers from Salisbury. It was also another opportunity for our Learn2Sing...

French Connection

During the summer, a Camerata group flew from Southampton to perform 4 concerts in Limousin, France and local press coverage of the performances continues! It was a fantastic trip, organised by our very own Concert Sectretary, Pierre, whose efforts in the months leading up to the tour were rewarded by some memorable performances. We were very warmly received by the audiences, who now have a number of CDs to remember us by!   The group managed to pack in a fair amount of sightseeing also in between concerts, using an ‘Italian Job’ / ‘Wacky Races’ style of...

Charity Concert in Christchurch Priory

We’re really excited to be kicking off our 2014/15 season at Christchurch Priory on 11th October. We will be performing  alongside two very special guests. The St. John Singers join us for a long awaited performance following their hosting of a concert with us in Salisbury back in March 2013. They are a superb choir and we’re really looking forward to welcoming them and enjoying their performance within such a beautiful venue. The concert will also feature Rosie Gill, Minns Young Musician of the Year 2014, a highly talented harpist, who we are absolutely delighted will be joining...
