And we’re off…

The choir heads off on a jolly on Friday;  heading towards the blue skies of Northern Ireland for a weekend of fun, frolics and making new friendships. We will compete, give a concert with the excellent Bangor Ladies Choir, visit Belfast City Hall and have a touristy visit to Mount Stewart (a gorgeous National Trust property in Co. Down). We’ll keep you posted via our Facebook page and will sincerely try and bring back the same number of choristers that we take! The choir will sing music from every genre imaginable, has a few surprises on the …… choreography front...

Back on the competition platform

Much anticipation in the ranks of Bournemouth Male Voice Choir at the moment.  We have concerts in Bournemouth and Salisbury over the next few weeks; we are looking forward to sharing the stage with the St John Singers of Salisbury, (in Salisbury),  the Penzance Ladies Choir in Westbourne and Vintage Brass at Southbourne. Would we dare perform totally unaccompanied sets? Could we ask the guys to raid their cupboards for combs, spoons and washboards? In the end, our good friends from Dorset Police Male Voice Choir very kindly agreed to lend us their keyboard for the entire weekend! Gentlemen, we are...

Solving your Festive Dilemmas

Now, we know that many of you will be looking forward to Christmas with barely concealed joy and excitement but that festive frisson is tempered somewhat, isn’t it? How to find that special treat for my partner? What to buy the in-laws? How to ingratiate myself with close friends, acquaintances and neighbours? Ordering online? Convenient, certainly – but the stress of waiting for the deliveries to arrive? Waiting in, not venturing out to the bookies, just on the off-chance the parcel van stops at your house? And don’t even get us started on gift wrapping …...
