Great experiences, new venues, new friends

Being a member of Bournemouth Male Voice Choir is full of powerful experiences and lots of positive emotions. Yesterday we met at central Bournemouth and took a coach off into the depths of Dorset to give a Concert at Tyneham Church.  It was an amazing evening Рthe church absolutely stuffed to capacity the choir uber-vibrant and full of good music. The members of Bournemouth Male Voice Choir will have the great privilege of giving a concert in Tyneham Church this Friday evening. The village of Tyneham was commandeered just before Christmas 1943 by the War Office for use as firing ranges for training troops. This measure was supposed to be temporary for the duration of World War II, but in 1948 the Army placed a compulsory purchase order on the land and it has remained in use for military training ever since. On Saturday 23rd November at 5pm the choir will sing at Castlepoint Shopping Centre and fundraise for the DEC Philippines Typhoon Appeal. Typhoon Haiyan was 300 miles across when it struck the Philippines on the 8th of November and one of the most intense tropical storms to ever make landfall anywhere in the world. It brought torrential rain, sustained winds of over 195mph and a storm surge of up to 30 feet that devastated coastal areas.
